THE MASTER ELECTRICIAN EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF TWO PORTIONS

The Master Electrician written examination has been reformatted to consist of two portions: NEC Knowledge and Calculations. The examination content remains the same, however, the calculation questions have been separated from the NEC knowledge questions to create two separate portions.

Both portions of the written examination are multiple choice. You will need to pass each portion with a minimum score of 70%. You are only required to retake a failed portion; a passed portion will never expire. Please note that if you finish your first portion of your exam the time does NOT roll over into your next administration.

The Master Electrician examination fee is $78 for both portions. If you fail a portion or both portions, the retake examination fee is $78.
